    Who we are

Windoorland Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a bespoke timber window and door workshop registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15344580), based at Broadoak Farm, Moorbath, Bridport DT6 6HN, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to hello@windoorland.co.uk or by post to the address above.

    What we collect

    • Enquiry details — when you use our quote form, WhatsApp, email or phone, we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, project details and any photos of your windows or doors you choose to send.
    • Technical data — basic information your browser sends when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, used for security and to keep the site working.

    How we use your data

    • To respond to enquiries and prepare estimates and quotations (legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract).
    • To carry out surveys, manufacture and installation once you place an order (performance of a contract).
    • To keep records we are legally required to hold, such as invoices (legal obligation).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

    Who we share it with

Your data is shared only where needed to run our business: our website hosting providers, our email and messaging providers (including WhatsApp if you contact us there), and our accountants where legally required. If you consent to optional cookies, anonymised usage data is also shared with Google (Analytics) and Trustindex (our Google reviews widget) — see our Cookie Policy for details and how to opt out.

    International transfers

We are based in the UK and keep your data here wherever possible. Some providers we use may process data outside the UK — for example WhatsApp (Meta) if you message us there. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual safeguards recognised under UK GDPR.

    How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to two years after our last contact so we can pick up your project where we left off. Records relating to completed orders are kept for six years to meet legal and warranty obligations.

    Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on your consent (such as optional cookies), you can withdraw it at any time — see our Cookie Policy — without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@windoorland.co.uk — we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
